Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 October 2026

These terms govern your use of UpAsk, provided by OD "ALITAR" (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina). By creating an account, starting a guest session or otherwise using the service you agree to them.

1. The service

UpAsk lets you upload PDF, Word and text documents and ask questions about them. Answers are generated by an AI model from your documents and cite the passages they rely on. AI answers can be incomplete or wrong; check important information against the cited source. UpAsk is not professional legal, medical or financial advice.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate details, keep your login secure and be responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the documents you upload and the questions you ask. You give us the limited permission needed to store them, process them (including sending them to our AI provider, see the Privacy Policy) and show you the results. You are responsible for having the right to upload your documents. We do not use your documents to train our own models.

4. Acceptable use

When using UpAsk you must not:

  • Upload, share or try to generate unlawful content, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes other people's rights (such as copyright or privacy), or content meant to harass, threaten or defraud anyone.
  • Upload malware, or files crafted to attack, crash or overload document processing.
  • Try to access other users' data or accounts, or probe, scan, disrupt or overload the service.
  • Try to make the AI ignore its instructions, reveal hidden instructions or produce harmful content (for example jailbreaks or prompt injection).
  • Create multiple accounts or guest sessions, use fake or disposable email addresses, or otherwise get around plan limits, usage limits or free allowances.
  • Use bots, scripts or other automated tools to use the service, or get around our bot and human checks.
  • Share, sell or rent your account, or resell access to the service, without our written permission.
  • Get around a suspension or block, for example by creating a new account or using another network, VPN or proxy.

To report content or behaviour that breaks these rules, including illegal content, write to dzano.catovic@gmail.com. We review every report and act on it as described in section 5.

5. Suspension and termination

If we reasonably believe you have broken these terms, put the service or other users at risk, or if the law requires it, we may limit, suspend or close your account. For less serious breaches we will usually warn you first; for serious misuse, including the uses listed in section 4, we may act immediately and without notice.

To stop misuse from continuing, we may also block the email address, email domain or network (IP address) involved. A network block can affect other people on the same network, such as an office, school or mobile carrier. If you are affected by mistake, contact us.

If a paid account is suspended or closed for serious misuse, you will not receive a refund for the current billing period, and the subscription is cancelled so you are not charged again. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the current period. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

If you think we made a mistake, write to dzano.catovic@gmail.com. We will review the decision and reply.

6. Plans, limits and payment

The Free plan and paid plans have limits on documents, storage, pages and questions, shown on the pricing section and the billing page. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Payments are handled by our payment provider Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and is responsible for taxes and invoices. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; access continues until the end of the paid period. If you move to a smaller plan while over its limits, existing documents are kept but new uploads are blocked until you are within the limits.

7. Deleting your data

You can delete documents, workspaces and your account at any time, and export a workspace. See the Privacy Policy for what is removed.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep UpAsk available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change the service or these terms; for material changes we will notify you in the app or by email.

9. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses or for decisions made based on AI answers, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
